NIER:About
From NIER
Nephrological Issues in Experimental Research (NIER) is an educational website initiated by Dutch Researchers in the field of Nephrology. The website is supported by the Dutch Kidney Foundation and collaborates with the Dutch Federation of Nephrology (NfN) and the Dutch Platform for PhD students and post-docs in the field of Nephrology (PLAN). Our intended audience is PhD students, and young science professionals that are working in the field of Nephrology.
Aims and Scope
NIER aims to provide rapid access to resources and expertise in renal research for the scientific community, in particular for young investigator in nephrology. NIER helps you find your way in renal research and to provide essential research methods in order to improve the output and quality of researchers in the field of Nephrology.
To meet these goals, the website provides educational papers and presentations on research topics and key issues in renal research, an agenda of forthcoming events, running courses and external links to relevant information and grant possibilities. In addition, NIER will provide a database of Dutch renal researchers to help you find other researchers and information about material and methods necessary to promote scientific communication, collaboration, and exchange of knowledge. In summary, NIER will assist you to find everything you need to know to make a quick start in renal research.
In order to warrant quality of the website, all original articles and presentations undergo review by a scientific board with in-depth knowledge in nephrology before online publication. We welcome suggestions, as well as feedback on placed material.
