[edit] Contributing to NIER

Who can contribute to NIER?

NIER welcomes the submission of any contributions, which help achieve NIER's aim: to provide rapid access to resources and expertise in renal research for the scientific community, in particular for young investigator in nephrology. Our goal is to continuously improve and update the content of this site in close collaboration with the Dutch renal scientific community. Contributions may be sent unsolicited. The editorial board may be contacted for pre-submission enquiries regarding suitability or formatting, but this is not required.

The NIER editorial board will also invite reseachers to make contributions to the website. Particularly, speakers at the Kidney Foundation Nephrology Winterschool and the "Nefrologiedagen" will frequently be asked to consider posting their presentations on the NIER website, to ensure further dissemination and maximal revenue of learning opportunities. In general, NIER will focus on contributions made by senior renal researchers, but PhD students are also encouraged to contribute to the website in the area of their specific expertise.

As NIER also functions as a meeting point for Dutch renal researchers, everyone (from student to professor) is strongly encouraged to post their personal data and description of research area and research methods in the people database via the online form, to facilitate cooperation within the renal community. Likewise, everyone is encouraged to assist with and benefit from the online forum.

NIER has listed key dutch investigators for each specific research area. These investigators are highly recommended by NIER to be approached for advice or cooperation. Investigators who wish to be included in this selection and support NIER's intention for 'key investigators' to be easily approachable to share their expertise, are invited to contact the editorial board.
