PLAN board members
PLAN (Platform AIO’s/Post-docs Nefrologie) is part of the Dutch Federation of Nephrology (NfN) and was funded in March 2001. PLAN consists of PhD-students from all medical centers conducting nephrological research in the Netherlands; from every medical center one representative is active in PLAN. PLAN is for all PhD-students, students, and post-docs conducting kidney-related research, and aims:
- to promote contacts between PhD-students
- to provide knowledge on nephrological research taking place in Dutch medical centers
- to organize education for PhD-students about the kidney and kidney diseases.
Every year 2 educational days are organized, each time visiting an other medical center, where local, young researchers can present their own work in a stimulating and interactive environment.

With the yearly winterschool the Dutch Kidney Foundation aims to inform young investigators about renal diseases, makes them enthusiastic for renal research and wants to bring them into contact with other disciplines
